MCP connectors directory (overview)

The MCP Connectors Directory is a centralized catalog of available integrations built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard created by Anthropic for connecting AI applications to external tools and data sources. Users can browse the directory to discover, review, and enable connectors that give Claude access to third-party services such as Slack, GitHub, Google Drive, Notion, Stripe, and more. Each listing describes what the connector does, what read and write capabilities it exposes, and which plans can use it. Once a connector is enabled, Claude can independently call that service's tools to retrieve information, take actions, or render interactive interfaces — without the user needing to copy-paste data or leave the conversation. This turns Claude into an active collaborator that can execute multi-step workflows across connected systems on a user's behalf. The directory is accessible through claude.ai, Claude Desktop, and Claude mobile apps. Paid plans gain access to the full catalog of remote connectors, while Free users can access at least the Microsoft 365 connector and are limited to one custom connector. Team and Enterprise plans add organizational governance controls, including role-based restrictions on which connectors and individual tools are available to different members.

When you’d use it

  • File and document retrievalA user asks Claude to find a specific budget report in their Google Drive instead of manually searching and uploading the file. Claude uses the Google Drive connector to search, locate, and summarize the document in-line.
  • Cross-tool project managementA developer asks Claude to read a JIRA ticket, implement the described feature, and open a pull request on GitHub. Claude chains calls across the JIRA and GitHub connectors without leaving the conversation.
  • Team communication automationA project manager asks Claude to collect action items from a Slack channel over the past week and create a GitHub issue for each one. Claude reads Slack messages and writes GitHub issues automatically.
  • Interactive data visualizationAn analyst asks Claude to display revenue trends from Stripe for the past 30 days with a filterable region breakdown. An interactive connector renders a live dashboard with charts and dropdowns directly in the chat canvas.
  • Enterprise role-based governanceA security administrator restricts the Jira connector to read-only access for most employees while granting write access only to engineering leads. Claude respects these policy boundaries and informs users when a requested action is blocked.
